Bangkok Airport Transfers to Pattaya

It is probably best to organise minibus transport, prior to arrival.



The public taxi stand is located on Level 1 (Ground Level).

  • Contact Taxi counter, Level 1 - Ground Level, near entrances 3, 4, 7 and 8
  • Pick up area: taxi stand Level 1 - Ground Level
  • Taxi fare:                      Go to Bangkok: metered taxi fare plus 50 Baht airport surcharge, and expressway fees
  • Taxi fare:                      Go to Pattaya: 1,300-1,500 baht (negotiable) plus 50 Baht airport surcharge, and motor way fees

 Limousine and Mini bus (Van)


Limousine Service Counter is at the Arrivals level (2nd floor). Limousine pickup area is at the Arrivals Level (outer curb).

Charter Boats for Thailand

 Where? - Royal Varuna Yacht Club, Pattaya.

Many of you have experienced the sensational sailing and atmosphere that the RVYC offers, either first hand or through the many stories that have come back with past competitors.  The club is first class with a pool, near new clubhouse complete with beautiful alfresco dining area looking over the bay, plenty of rigging area and sensational food.

Pattaya itself has something to offer everyone. The local market offer cheap clothing so pack light as your bags are sure to be full on the trip home.  The night life in Pattaya is legendary but for those wanting a more relaxed approach there are plenty of beautiful quieter areas to take in and have a meal.

Pattaya is located 2 hours south of Bangkok so is easy to access from the airport and is very close to the port keeping shipping costs low.

 When? - 22 March to 4th April 2014

The race and social program is still to be set but we have set dates from a Saturday to Friday so it allows competitors time to get to the event without excessive leave.

The event has been scheduled outside holiday times so that costs for accommodation and flights are on the lower side.

 Book Early to Get a Cheap Trip.

Discounted flights have already come out in Australia for next March - Return from Adelaide to Bangkok with Qantas starting from $800.00  - and they should be available from most other major centres.

There is plenty of Hotel accommodation available but if you would like an appartment then you better get in quick to get something close to the club. Andrew Davies will be meeting with each of the main hotels to negotiate some great deal so stay tuned. The Yacht Club also has limited accommodation available on site also for cheap rates so get in quick.

NCA's are starting to get prices together for containers so contact your local NCA if you are keen to attend. Most containers will be leaving between the middle of January and the middle of February to get there in time.

Travel insurance - which is extended to cover you while racing is very important in Asia so make sure that the policy you take out provides adequate protection.

Racing insurance - Check with your insurance agent to make sure you have racing cover for your boat in Asia. If not you will need to take out additional cover. (In Australia the cover is offered by Mastermans Insurance).
