Following the astounding success of James & Dan Ellis in 2012, the Class Association boat, 15080, is once again available for free to some bright young UK talent. That's the fantastic offer from UK Fireball Association for the 2013 season!
The fully proven Fireball, with a brand new suit of sails, will be available to teams under 26 years of age to sail for the season. This is the 2012 Nationals winning boat from the premier Fireball builder Winder Boats, that was completed with the generous support of sponsors Harken, FSE Robline, Selden, Pinnell and Bax, North sails, Noble Marine, Winder Boats and Contender Sailcoth.
How to Apply
As a minimum you will need to be available to sail in; the National & Inland Championships, all the Golden Dolphin events and at least one training event, although the boat will be available to you to enter as many events as you wish, including the World and Eurpoean Campionships in September. If you think you are the the perfect candidates to win the chance to use the boat, then please send a one page sailing CV (one each for helm and crew) that includes a summary of your sailing history. We would also like a covering letter of no more than 500 words detailing your aspirations for the season and the reasons you would be the perfect candidates. Applications are now open and will close at Midnight on Friday the 1st of March 2013, with the winners announced on the Fireball stand at the 2013 RYA Dinghy Show.
