Neil Pryde Golden Dolphin Hayling Island

27th - 28th April 2013 - Hayling Island Yacht Club

NeilPryde to sponsor the 2013 Golden Dolphin series.

Having started as a sail maker some 40 years ago Neil now heads up one of the worlds leading water sports companies producing leading brand names such as NeilPryde, Windsurfing and Cabrinha Kitesurfing. More recently the NeilPryde loft has become well known as the supplier of gear for RS:X Olympic windsurfing class together with being the preferred sail maker to the 49er and 29er class. The distinctive blue and white bulls eye is a regular site at all the major regattas worldwide.

The series gets under way this weekend with Staunton Harold, and with cold wintry weather forecast, it will be a blast to the start of the season. 10 races are scheduled, taking the form of a quick fire sprint series to keep everyone warm. Dinner as always is provided on Saturday night, and for those of you hardy enough, there is camping in the grounds available!

5 events will comprise the series, and there is a series prize giving at the end of the season at the end of year black tie dinner.

The rest of the series, along with all of our other events can be found on our website - www.fireballsailing.org.uk

Club Info

Hayling Island SC (HISC) is the United Kingdom's leading dinghy sailing club, occupying a magnificent site at the entrance to Chichester Harbour on the South Coast of England.

In its 80 year history, HISC has had a leading role in British sailing encouraging innovation and development, hosting Olympic, National and World class events and nurturing many generations of sailing champions. It is sited on a sandy peninsular with direct access to two superb sailing areas; either the sheltered water of the harbour or the open water of Hayling Bay - an ideal venue for national and international championships.

At high tide it is possible to lay an Olympic course adjacent to the sailing club, allowing superb spectating from the new clubhouse. HISC offers the best possible facilities, from organised racing and safety cover to full accommodation and restaurants on site. In March 2003 HRH Princess Anne opened the new clubhouse, recognising HISC as a premier location for sailing in the UK and an RYA Centre of Excellence.
