LOCATION

The Nedlands Yacht Club in located on the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia.  The Club is 10 minutes drive from the Perth CBD and 20 minutes drive from Fremantle.

Situated on the foreshore of the Swan River, with wide grassy lawns and sandy beaches, the Nedlands Yacht Club is an ideal location for sailing. The water is flat, warm and fresh. In January one can normally expect solid afternoon seabreezes from the Fremantle Doctor.

Nedlands is a dinghy club with a large fleet of 125s and Hobie 16s as well as trailer sailors so they know what a fleet like the Fireballs expects from a regatta.

The club offers a laid back atmosphere with beautiful veiws, nice club rooms, great facilities, and large lawn and storage areas.

BOAT TRANSPORT

Fireball Australia is currently negotiating with a number of freight companies to arrange a 40 foot container from Adelaide and one from Melbourne.

There will be 12 spots available in the Adelaide container and 8 spots available in the Melbourne container.

The containers will be loaded a few days before Christmas and will be on site for the regatta.  The containers will then be unloaded in Adelaide / Melbourne around 20th January.

Sailors will also be able to put camping gear in the containers as well sailing kit and possibly bikes.

We will release more information by the end of August and will be taking deposit for spots.
