Agendas for FI meetings @ Worlds 2019

25 July 2019

In about a month we will meet at the Worlds in Montreal/CAN from Aug 25 til 30.

For the Council meeting the agenda will be as follows:

1. Reports (Commodore’s, Financial, Secretary's)

2. Rear Commodores‘ reports

3. Website/Calendar

4. Future Worlds: 2020 Howth, Dublin/IRL & 2022 Geelong/AUS

5. Future European Championships: 2021 Tuscany/ITA & 2022  Nice/FRA

6. Further Continental Championships: ?

7. Any Other Business

Please  note there will be an Open Forum too.

We will discuss any business you choose, an important focus however will be the proposals about:

  • carbon pole
  • carbon tiller
  • carbon boom
Here we have to consider the points Tom Egli made when the proposal was sent: :"If we want to keep the costs reasonable, i.e. by avoiding having a track, we would have to go with a loose-footed main. This would mean a fair number of changes to our sail measurement rules. I don't think we should go down this road unless we have done some trials. FI could grant the UKFA permission to undertake such trialing.
  • sail batten changes
Here we have to discuss the experience Dave Hall has made during the last year.

Please discuss these points and any further issues of your choice and let us know either by participating the open meeting or by an e-mail or any kind of message before Aug 25.

We are looking forward to hear from you!

Kind regards

Your FI Commodore Christina
